Focusing on future generations: Green Touch is an elementary component of EAO’s corporate policy. As a company with global production, we are proactively engaged in the implementation of a sustainable environmental policy.
Ecological commitment.
EAO acts responsibly towards the environment. We set environmental standards for ourselves, our products and our customers. We think and act in a way that conserves resources and protects the environment throughout the entire value chain. EAO control elements are designed to last for decades, whether in trains, commercial vehicles or machinery. If you have to replace something less often, you use fewer resources. It is the simplest shape of resource conservation. ‘Green Touch’ is the name we give to this approach. It stands for how responsibly and sustainably EAO develops, manufactures and operates: in an environmentally conscious and transparent manner, whilst taking the entire value chain into account.
Responsibility throughout the entire chain.
Sustainability begins with the choice of materials.
EAO sources components and raw materials from manufacturers who produce in compliance with REACH, RoHS and WEEE. The two largest plants are certified to ISO 14001. EAO measures its own carbon footprint in accordance with the GHG Protocol – and now also calculates it at product level. This enables customers to incorporate this data into their own sustainability assessments.
In day-to-day operations, this translates into concrete steps: EAO has phased out single-use cups internally, expanded its recycling programme and reduced the amount of precious metals used in components. After all, raw materials also have an environmental footprint. An internal network – the Green Guardians – drives such initiatives across all sites.
Every year, EAO publishes a sustainability report documenting these developments. All products are manufactured in accordance with the applicable EU directives.

Sustainability is also an integral part of our consultancy services. We put this philosophy into practice in our warehousing, project documentation, on-site training and the reconditioning of used devices.
