Innovative RGB LED illumination

The static or flashing RGB LED illumination is very bright and, thanks to an environment-adaptive brightness sensor, the HMIs light up at the right intensity in any light. This feature also optimises power consumption by the HMI and the LEDs’ lifecycle. Four side openings in the front bezel make the status display highly visible from all angles. Combined with high-contrast and optionally illuminable standard or customer-specific symbols, the capacitive sensor switch with IO-Link also integrates visually into any modern set-up.

Robust, fully encapsulated design

Thanks to the encapsulated electronic switch technology, actuation does not initiate a mechanical movement. Because of this, the capacitive sensor switch can reliably withstand up to 100 million switching cycles, hard impact (IK08) and front-side influences (IP69K) – and it can do so from – 30 °C to + 65 °C.

With three HMI variants – standard, stainless steel and hygiene – the sensor switch with IO-Link range offers the ideal actuators and indicators. 

Freely configurable HMIs

The many possible uses are based on a freely selectable configuration. This is precisely aligned with the respective application – from illumination and the symbols, to the switching function.

Compact, attractive and reliable.

Series 84 emergency stop switches fulfil all requirements in connection with the most important safety elements in machine-building and process automation. Installed directly on the machine or in a mobile control unit, these modern-design switches provide for the reliable protection of people from injury and prevention of damage to machines.

Thanks to the green or black display ring, the actuation status is clearly visible. LED illumination makes the switch easier to find even in poor light conditions, and also serves as an additional status indicator. These intuitive emergency stop switches are particularly impressive where a very low back-panel depth is crucial, as they have a low front panel height and highly ergonomic design.

Stop switches are different from emergency stop switches because they do not have to be foolproof. Thanks to their snap-action element, they are particularly suitable for use as on/off switches worldwide in mobile control units as well as in apparatus and mechanical engineering.

Comfortable and reliable.

Series 84 Stop Request Switches are ideal for use in buses and trams. The robust plastic housing can be colour-matched to the vehicle design and is suitable for pole diameters of 35 and 38 mm. They can also be fitted to smaller pole diameters of 25 to 30 mm using an adaptor.

The excellent tactile feedback that is typical of the Series 84 ensures intuitive operation, whilst the robust TSI-compliant aluminium lenses with raised symbols withstand the demands of intensive public use.   

The halo ring illuminated in different colours provides clear status displays and supports the modern design. The Stop request switch can be supplied with different cable lengths and connection options – for maximum flexibility during installation.
